Comic book Kickstarter checks

A strong comic book Kickstarter page tells you what the book is, who made it, how finished it is, where it ships, and what happens after funding. If any of that is vague, slow down.

Atomic Robo Kickstarter notes

Atomic Robo hardcover campaigns are a good example of why campaign history matters. The official blog has announced different hardcover editions and linked readers to the right campaign or store window. Search results can surface old posts, so read the date and title before you assume a campaign is current.

Late pledge checklist

Late pledge pages can be useful, but they are not magic. Confirm that the page is linked from the creator's own update, not from a random comment, screenshot, or expired ad. If a page asks for payment, the URL should match the campaign manager named by the creator.

For older webcomic campaigns, check whether fulfillment has already happened. If books shipped years ago, a late pledge link may be closed while creator stores or resale copies remain available.
