Archive notes

Old webcomics leave a trail: home pages, RSS feeds, forum posts, Kickstarter pages, store redirects, and archived product notes. Use the trail to verify a book before buying it.

How to publish a webcomic book

Creators usually need clean source files, a print-safe page size, corrected lettering, a cover, a copyright page, proof copies, shipping math, and a sales path. A script book can be easier if the original comic art is complicated to clear, but it still needs editing, layout, and a clear description.

For a first book, keep the promise narrow: one finished arc, one format, one fulfillment plan. Add-ons are tempting. They also create most of the late-night packaging problems.
